Mark Cameron began his maritime career at sea in the early 1980s, spending 11 years sailing and rising to Chief Engineer. Over a 42-year career, he worked across four continents with Safmarine, Maersk, Teekay and Ardmore Shipping.
In 2010, Mark co-founded Ardmore with Anthony Gurnee, helping grow the business from a start-up into a New York Stock Exchange-listed shipowner and operator. His career included senior leadership roles in Ireland and Singapore, alongside industry board positions. Retiring in early 2026, Mark now lives in Spain with his wife, enjoying a new chapter after a rewarding career at sea and ashore.
